Puntzi Lake is situated near the tranquil community of Chilanko Forks, approximately 175 km west of Williams Lake (a roughly 2-hour drive) via the Chilcotin-Bella Coola Highway (BC-20W). As one of the larger lakes in central Chilcotin, Puntzi Lake resides in the heart of the traditional territory of the Tsilhqot'in people and was once home to a sizable village.
