Do you enjoy camping and being outdoors during the summer? Woodlands Fishin Resort may have an opportunity for you!
If you are hardworking, self-motivated, highly attentive, friendly, and willing to learn, then apply now! We are looking for the perfect couple to be a part of our resort team who want to be immersed in the resort experience for this upcoming season as a camp host. While on the resort you can enjoy living on the lake surrounded by nature while helping at the campground and bakery. You’ll get to live onsite from May to September in a full hookup site!

Woodlands Fishin’ Resort is the ultimate outdoors enthusiasts’ haven with endless fishing, hiking, four-wheeling and nature viewing which makes it your ideal destination for connecting with nature, making memories and REELaxing. Located in the beautiful Chilanko Forks which is an unincorporated settlement as well as a First Nations community of the Tsilhqot'in people, located on the north bank of the Chilanko River just northeast of Tatla Lake, and immediately south of Puntzi Lake, in the Chilcotin District of the Central Interior of British Columbia.

Woodlands Fishin’ Resort offers a 12-site campground as well as 3 all-new cabin units all situated a stone’s throw from the lake. Our recently rebuilt cabins offer a rustic feel but with all the modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, a bakery and washrooms. No fishin’ resort would be complete without a private boat launch and docks. We also offer motorboat, canoe, and kayak rentals.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid BC Driver’s license
  • Reliable Vehicle
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card or be willing to take the course
  • Most days times a flexible, depending on how many clients
  • First Aid is an asset but not required
  • Knowledge and experience in operating small powered equipment (e.g. lawnmower, tractor, weedwhacker, boat motors).
  • Be able to drive a small tractor
  • Put in docks and pull out docks
  • General Maintenance, Minor repairs of  cabins, docks, campground repairs, bakery
  • Cleaning campground and picnic tables
  • Help clients with parking RVs, boat launches
  • Wood delivered to campsites
  • Campground garbage was picked up and taken to dump
  • Cleaning of cabins, shower house and fish cleaning station as needed
  • Supply pick-up and food delivery
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for this position
  • Possess the physical condition and health to carry out the required duties of this position
  • Maintain good interpersonal skills
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills and  a problem-solver at heart
  • Be a self-starter and able to work alone or in a team environment with minimum supervision
  • Can-do attitudes and a willingness to jump in when needed

Compensation: 

You will receive a salary( to be discussed), plus RV site with full hookups
Terms can be negotiated if the person is local and does not require an RV site.

Sweeten Your Summer!

Join our fun and sweet creations team! You will be working in a natural playground of rugged coastal mountains, wilderness and lakes located in the beautiful Chilanko Forks on Puntzi Lake. Spend your summer getting paid to be where others vacation but you call home!

If you are hardworking, self-motivated, highly attentive, friendly, and willing to learn, then this position is for you! We are looking for local talent who can commute on the daily to work at our small bakery and kitchen within our resort and are looking for someone who could be long-term to come back for upcoming seasons.

We offer an assortment of take-out goodies at our Bakery, such as bread, cakes and our REELY amazing carrot cake! While in our gift shop, we have worked hard to collect an assortment of fun and memorable items for our Gift Shop. From fishing tackle to use while you are out on the lake to everyday items to help you remember the fun you had on your trip, we have curated a selection of items for everyone.

Job Highlights:

  • Work closely with the owner
  • Be a self-starter
  • Bakery/Kitchen experience an asset or will train

  • Taking orders, answering phones, cleaning cabins and bakery 
  • Showing guests to the RV sites or cabins
  • Answering questions, helping where needed
  • Making drinks and some food items
  • Deliveries and help with catering
  • Other tasks as required
